100.1 Fox-FM's
Hometown Heroes:
On this page you will find a list of businesses and individuals who
are helping in educating and alerting our community to the evils of (and
solutions to the problems of)
bullying.
When you visit the businesses on this list of Hometown Heroes, you know that you're dealing with people who
are solidly devoted to our community and who are investing in the future of Walker
County and Jasper.

100.1 Fox-FM is reaching out to businesses and individuals within
the local community in an effort at fighting bullying within our schools and the
local community.
Those who sign-on as sponsors of this program are listed here as "Hometown
Heroes" and are the businesses and individuals who are proud to take a stand in
support of our youth, our schools and our community!
Later this week, we will be updating our files (and these posts) to include
others who are joining us in this very worthy cause! In this way, we'll
let everyone know what businesses care about our community as we step out and do
something about bullying! If you (as an individual) or your business would like
to help, feel free to call Sean at
(205) 265-1237
and get on our list of Hometown Heroes before time runs out! Let the tens of
thousands of people in and around our community (and millions of people in the
entire world) know that YOU and YOUR BUSINESS care!
If you don't see your favorite business listed, ask them why they're not!

The above is indeed a great list to be able to
post! What's sad though is that for every single ONE who helps, there are
between six and eight others who decline helping with this worthy cause. At some
local businesses, we've
heard everything from "That's not my problem!" to "Why should I care?" (As
we have had many requests that we do so, we've decided to list the Community Heroes
here but to also make a
listing of those who have decided to not help, for whatever reason available to
anyone by sending an emailed request to us at "hometownheroes@worldwidefm.com".)
