Annette Shepherd Jones, 87, of Jasper
Annette Shepherd Jones, 87, of Jasper, died
Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
July 15, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 until 8 p.m. today at Collins-Burke Funeral Home
Chapel. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
She was a life-long member of the Church of
Christ, serving as music director of the Church of Christ School of music while
living in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was a member of the Easter Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
William L. Jones Sr.; mother, Lovey (Gilchrist) Shepherd; father, Roy T.
Shepherd; and son, William Roy Jones.
She is survived by her daughters, Sula
(Jones) McCurdy of Franklin, North Carolina and Janet D. Groberski; son, Richard
L. Jones; eight grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stan McCurdy, Robert
Groberski, David Sikes, and Ronald Polk.

Lawrence Morrow, 81, of Jasper, died
Saturday, July 12, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
today, July 15, at Hunters Chapel Holy Church of Christ with burial in the
adjoining cemetery. Bros. Thomas Reeves and Dale Hyche will officiate.
Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
He was a chaplain for the Walker County Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc. and a
member of Twin Creek Hunting Club. He was also a deacon at Hunters Chapel Holy
Church of Christ. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather and baseball fan who never lost a game.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Bradford “Add” Morrow and his
mother, Carrie (Shubert) Morrow.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Katharyn (Hall) Morrow of Jasper;
daughter, Linda (Morrow) Jones and Cliff of Quinton; sons, Tom Morrow and Shelia
of Tuscaloosa and Terry N. Morrow and Pat of Jasper; sisters, Orlane Kennedy and
Rachel Wells, both of Jasper, and twin sister, Florence Barton and Whitt of
Cordova; brother, H.D. Morrow and Bobby of Cordova; grandchildren, Nathan Morrow
and Ashlee Morrow, Russell Morrow and Hannah, Jennifer Park and Steve, Jody
Jones and Eric, Jason Jones and Priscilla, Lori Bowden and Scott; great
grandchildren, Taylor Morrow, Autumn Jones, Abigail Jones, Jessica Mize, and
Ashlee Mize; a host of nieces and nephews; and special care-givers, Gerry
Wheeler, Richard Wilson, and Heather Kilgore of New Beacon Hospice;

Paula Michelle Roberts, 36, of Empire, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at her
residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at New Horizon
Memorial Funeral Home with burial in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kenneth
Wiggins and Rev. T.J. Millican will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 9
p.m. today at the funeral home. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
She was a graduate of Dora High School, Class of 1990; attended Bevill State
Community College and attended Oakman Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, David Farr and Harry and Leopal
Roberts; and special cousin, Ethan Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Roberts; children, Jon and Ashlee; mother,
Deloris Roberts; father and stepmother, Paul Roberts and wife, Kim; brother,
Darren Roberts; grandmother, Mozell Farr; special niece, Amy Roberts; and
several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leon Hanes and Julius Dill; and
stepmother, Gracie Dill.
He is survived by his wife, Kelley McAdams Dill of Jasper; sons, Hunter David
Dill and Matthew Scott Dill, both of Jasper; mother, Janis D. Underwood and her
husband, Bobby C., of Birmingham; father, Bob Dill of Chester, S.C.;
grandmothers, Bobbie Nell Dill of Maitland, Fla., and Stella Hanes of Jasper;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Gail McAdams of Jasper;
brothers-in-law, Jeff McAdams and his wife, Jennie, of Jasper, and Barry McAdams
of Haleyville; stepbrother, Lee Cunningham and his wife, Kristen, of Kennesaw,
