Virginia Inez “Mickey” Boyles, 70, of Haleyville
Virginia Inez “Mickey” Boyles, 70, of Haleyville, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Pinkard Funeral Home
with burial at Ephesus Cemetery in Haleyville. Visitation will be from 6 until 9
p.m. today at the funeral home. Pinkard Funeral Home will direct.
She was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Haleyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Elton Boyles; parents, I.V. and
Viola King; and brother, Rayburn Dell King.
She is survived by her children, Michael Lee Boyles, Melessia Ann Boyles and
Randy Lee Boyles, all of Haleyville, and Phyllis Boyles Alexander of Danville;
grandchildren, Abby Killian, Sheena Espindola, Samantha Alexander, Griffin Reed,
Cory Reed, Tucker Boyles, Ronnie Boyles and Leann Stanford; and nephew, Nathan
King.

Viola Holley Skinner, 96, of Cordova
Viola Holley Skinner, 96, of Cordova, formerly of Abbeville, died Wednesday,
July 23, 2008, at the home of her niece, Diann Morgan in Cordova. Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. today, July 25, at Sardis Baptist Church near
Abbeville, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. John W. Helton Jr. will
officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. today at the
church. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary will direct.
She was born in Walker County, daughter of the late James Marion Holley and
Frances Hood Holley. She formerly lived in West Palm Beach, Fla. and also in
Abbeville before returning to Walker County several years ago. She was a member
of the Sardis Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis O. “Shorty” Skinner; daughter,
Virgie Mae Skinner Kirkland; son-in-law, James Edgar Kirkland; sisters, Pazadie
Banks, Donia Itson and Louviana Garner; and brothers, Irvin Holley and Noah
Holley.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Leondas Kirkland of New York City,
South Florida and Paris, France and Franklin Eugene Kirkland and wife, Jerusha
Kirkland, of Abbeville; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Paige Kirkland and Keely
Kirkland; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Diann Morgan
of Cordova and Malve Dockins of Jasper.

Euna Mae “Puny” Hudson, 93, of Jasper, died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at
Greenbriar at the Altamont. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, July
26, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home with burial in New Prospect Cemetery. William
James Justice will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Saturday at

She was a member of Corner Stone Community Church in Graysville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Charlie Hudson; mother, Nina Mae

She is survived by her sister, Eardeal Neniser; brother, Lecil Cook; children,
Martha Gail Love and her husband, J.L., and Charles Hudson and his wife, Peggy;
grandchildren, Lisa Love Thomas, Jennie Love Jones, Jeff Love, Amanda Crawford,
Kathryn Studdard and Newton Hudson; very special friends, Terry Lynn Justice,

Doris Marie Hutcheson, 75, formerly of Jasper
Doris Marie Hutcheson, 75, formerly of Jasper, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at
Salem Nursing Home in Reform. A graveside memorial service and burial of
cremains will be held at noon, Saturday, July 26, at Oak Hill Cemetery in
Jasper.
She was born June 6, 1932 to the late John Appling and Annie Mae Tuggle
Hutcheson. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her nephews, Lee (Beth) Newton of Duluth, Ga., and Joel
(Cathy) Newton of Bristol, Tenn.
