Albert “Indian” Coleman, 63, of Dora died Monday, July 6, 2009, at Princeton
Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services will be Friday, July 10,
2009, at 1 p.m. in the Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Bryan Cemetery. The
Rev. Gene Oden will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at the
funeral home. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton is handling arrangements on behalf of
the family.
He is survived by his wife, Della Coleman of Dora; daughter, Betty Whitten of
Dora; son, Rex Brasfield of Morgan’s Chapel; grandson Chris Whitten of Georgia;
and great-grandsons, Alex Whitten and Josh Whitten, both of Georgia.

Geraldine Denny “Dean” Threadgill, 85, of Crane Hill, passed away Monday, July

p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel in Jasper with burial in the Pisgah Cemetery in
Carbon Hill. Dr. Todd Henderson will officiate. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bill” Threadgill; mother
and father, Josie “Jo” Emma Curlee Denny and Samuel “Sam” Andrew Denny; sisters,
Faye Denny Swing (Ed), Ruth Denny Lipe (Earl) and Edith Denny Markham (Bill);
brother, Garvel Denny; and niece Nancy Denny Alexander.
Survivors include her children, Carol Ann Threadgill, William A. “Gus”
Threadgill Jr., and Sandra “Kaye” Threadgill Cole (Dwight); grandchildren,
Timothy “Tim” Lamar Cole (Laura), William Matthew “Matt” Cole; great-grandson,

Rivers (Tony) of Salisbury, N.C.; nephews, Denny Swing (Susan), Wayne Lipe
