Joe Bob Franklin, 90, of Jasper
Joe Bob Franklin, 90, of Jasper died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at
his residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 2 p.m. at
Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be
Monday, July 13, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.

Jasper
Stewart Edward Ochs Sr., 57, of Jasper died Saturday, July 11,
2009, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be Monday, July
13, at 1 p.m. at Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Hunters Chapel Holy
Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2009, from 11
a.m. until 1 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. The Rev. Dale Hyche will
officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Adam Ochs; and mother, Emily
Sobeleski Ochs.
He is survived by sons, Stewart Edward Ochs Jr. and Adam Lee Ochs, both of
Jasper; brother, Steven Lee Ochs of Missouri; and nephews, Tim Ochs and Kevin
Ochs, both of Missouri.

William Lollar Burgett, 84, of Nauvoo, died
Thursday, July 9, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services will
be at 2 p.m. today, July 12, 2009, at Collins-Burke Chapel.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Harbin
will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Burgett;
mother, Charlette Lollar Burgett; brothers, John Henry Burgett
Jr., Robert Edward Burgett, and James Jackson Burgett; sons,
William A. Burton, Phillip Wayne Burgett and infant Burgett;
grandfather, William R. Lollar; grandmother, Mollie Dunn Lollar;
grandfather, Amos Burgett; and grandmother, Mollie Burgett.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Moses Burgett of Nauvoo; three
step-daughters, Robin R. Furrer of Wachula, Fla., Beth R. Rogers
of Anniston and Patricia R. Flengas of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one
son, William Larry Burgett of Nauvoo; three step-sons, Tommy W.
Robinson of Ozark, Elgin D. Robinson of Ozark and James B.
Robinson of Blue Ridge, Ga.; one sister, Margaret Burgett Bowles
of Jasper; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Rogers, Christian Rogers, Adam Furrer,
Justin Wordon, Pete Flengas, Doug Bell and Jack Keisling.
The family requests memorials donations be made to the Highway 5
Church of God in Jasper.
